CHEMO DAY?

Nothing impure will ever enter it. nor, will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. REVELATION 22:27

Well here I set waiting to find out if I can have chemo. Just waiting on blood work to come back. I am feeling pretty good today, had a few pains in my colon area last night, but overall not to bad. I am sorrry I did not do a blog update yesterday, I went on a job Saturday and did not get done until Sunday morning at 5:00. I slept almost the entire day Sunday, and then cleaned tools all day Monday. We had lay offs Monday, thank the Lord I still am employed, we lost seven people, and hopefully that is the end. I have tried to make myself as valuable as possible, by being the only employee that can do what I do. I will eventually have to train someone to do the logs, but not until the oil field starts booming again. It is a dreary rainy day, I hope it clears up so I can play golf Thursday or Saturday. YEAH I am getting hooked up for chemo. God bless until tomorrow.

MY PRAYER!

"Dear heavenly father and my friend;
I want to thank you for all the trials and tribulations in my life and how you have used them to make me a stronger christian. I thank you for the day and allowing me to live it in your glory. The only need or want, I bring to you is allow my cancer to be an inspiration to someone else and may my complete recovery from this disease be proof of your extrodinary healing powers. I believe all things are possible, through the hand that rolled the rock away and allowed my Savior to rein at your right side.
I pray this in your sons holy name, Jesus Christ our Savoir. AMEN"
Kendall Kesinger

I am having a great day. I am sorry I did not get my blog updated yesterday. I stayed up all night Wednesday working on a customers log, and then had a meeting at their office at 10:00. I had so many problems with the log that I had to finish it after the meeting. When I had completed the log I was so tired I went home to get some rest. I am thankful that God has allowed me to keep working through this time in my life. I used to be able to stay up 2 or 3 days with no sleep, now 1 day is like an eternity. I have a job to go on this evening or in the morning. I am looking forward to getting out it is always fun to work with the other guys from the shop. Looks like rain all weekend, might try fishing if it clears a little, but no golf. God bless and have a great weekend!

PRAISE BE TO GOD!

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him. EXODUS 15:2

My God is amazing, he has given me cancer, and he is taking it away. I appreciate all the doctor's, nurse's and assistant's at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Through their hands and your prayers God is working a miracle in my life and I hope this blog is working miracles in others lives. If you are not sure where you are going when you leave this world, please attend a bible based church, where the answer to this question can be answered. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, don't put this life altering decision off for one more day. I would like to take this time to praise the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for their love for an unlovable sinner. I am not perfect, but with the Lord's help I can at least attempt to be Christ like. I know God will bless you as he has blessed me.

GOOD, BAD, AND BEAUTIFUL!

Ascribe to the Lord, O families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength, ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. Let heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, "The Lord reigns!" 1st CHRONICLES 16:28-31

I had my CT scan yesterday, and my chemo was today. Would you like the good news or the bad news first? You did not answer fast enough :-). The bad news is my platelet count is low so I can not have chemo today, I will try again next week. The doctor said they will alter my chemo doseage to try and keep my count up. The good news is my tumors are still shrinking, another 20%. Know for the beautiful part, Jesus is my Savior, and God is my father, everyone is either my brother or sister in Christ, if you believe in JOHN 3:16. I appreciate all the prayers, keep it up lets show the world the power of God through my complete healing. I love you all and God bless!

CT SCAN TODAY!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks recieves; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." MATTHEW 7:7-8

I hope all your doors have been opened. I had a nice weekend, went fishing Saturday for about 6 hrs and caught nothing but a good relaxing day. Sunday was excellent, I got to meet some Butanieze refugies that are being helped by a mission from my church. Jan has some baby clothes she said I could donate after she finds out the sex of her new grand child. Sunday afternoon I attempted to play golf, I had cracked a rib last Thursday playing golf, when I leaned out of a cart to pick up a ball. All most all my shots were going to the left and I was not hitting the ball far enough with my clubs, so I stopped after nine holes and will try again on Thursday afternoon at the scramble tournament. Well today is my CT scan day, I don't know how long it will take to get the results, hopefully Thursday, when I get my chemo bag taken off, I will know something. I trust in GOD that all are doing well. God bless you and enjoy the day the Lord has made!

GOT LUCKY!

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 1st TIMOTHY 4:8

I am feeling great today, yesterday I played golf and drew three good partner's. We shot 4 under par through nine holes, and won first place. I have an easy weekend planed. I may try to go fishing on Saturday and golf after church on Sunday. The picture above is a new orniment for my wallet, before I had a star and people asked me if I was in law enforcement, no one has asked me if I am a preacher yet :-). God bless and pass the faith!

GOLF DAY!

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, 'A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me," I myself did not know him, but the reason I came babtizing with water was that he might be revealed to Isreal." JOHN 1:29-31

I am having a few stomach cramps today, but other then that I am feeling fine. I am going to attempt to play nine holes of golf this evening. There is a scramble best ball tournament at the golf course I play at on Thursday evening during the summer months. I hope there has been enough rain to soften the greens. I trust this blog update finds you in good health and spirits. If not my prayers are with you, God bless!

EXCESS!

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? MATTHEW 16:26

I appear to be doing well this morning. Yesterday afternoon and evening I had stomach cramps. The picture above was taken when I stopped to eat with a friend after my chemo treatment. I talked to the owners for a few minutes, they saw my M. D. Anderson cancer shirt I had made. The man driving the car was a cancer survivor, and had done all the work on the car himself. Having a grasp that your life is not forever, makes you appreciate the simple things in life. On the way to work I had to detour due to a train/car accident, I was told there was a fatality. You never know when it is your time to meet God, I pray that you enjoy every minute the good Lord has given, and love everyone, don't let your last personal experience with another be hateful. God bless you all for allowing me to ramble on, I love you!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

My brothers; as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet," have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

I am doing well today. I woke up a little later then normal, Since starting chemo my eye sight has gotten worse and I need glasses to read or see up close. When I look at the cell phone in the morning I can't read the time, sounds like a good excuse to over sleep everyday, just kidding. A friend of mine, Dennis Murray just gave me a movie "Facing the Giants" it was done by the same company that made "Fire Proof". He has asked me to watch the movie then pass it on to others. Well enough for today, I love you all and God bless!

GOOD MORNING!

In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. PSALM 5:3

I am doing well today, the weekend was long and hard. I had nausea and was very tired. I slept most of Friday. Went to the rodeo Saturday and I felt better after a hot cup of cocoa. Sunday I went to bible study, then went home I was so tired I knew I would only sleep through the sermon. I slept most the rest of the day while watching golf. Today has been ok, no nausea. I pray that everyone is in good health. God bless all!

WEEKENDS HERE!

With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. PSALMS 60:12

The picture was taken at the rodeo, this young man scored a 95 riding a sheep. He was having the best time, and showed it to everyone.

I am sorry I didn't get an update posted yesterday. I was processing a log for a customer, and then I went home and took a well needed nap. Today I have a little nausea, and my chest hurts from riding a ride at the rodeo called the G-FORCE, it lived up to its name. It is raining and cold here, it would be another great day for a nap. Plans for this weekend, Saturday going back to the rodeo to see Josh Turner, he has won several awards from christian associations for bringing God back into country music. I am really looking forward to the concert. I upgaded tickets to the third row so I won't have to walk up to many flights of stairs. Sunday will be church, and Sunday afternoon will probably be a nap. Until next week. God bless all!

HONESTLY HOW AM I DOING!

A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies. PROVERBS 12:17

I am doing well today, took nausea pill. Had a great time at the rodeo last night Toby Keith was excellent. I told Jan I was going to dedicate this blog entry to all of my side effects from the chemo. I don't mention them usually because I am not suffering from them when I am working on my blog. I have started getting joint discomfort, and pain, it is not real painful, more like an ache. The chemo makes me not have the ability to handle anything cold, if I pick up a soda or anything out of the freezer or fridge, my fingers start tingling like someone is stabbing them with needles. I also get the same feeling on the bottom of my feet and my throat if I drink anything cold (order an iced tea with no ice people look t you funny). I had stomach cramps before the chemo, and then they went away, since then they have returned. They are generally mild, but occasionally I get one that makes me stop what I am doing for about 10 seconds. Jan wanted me to pass on that my attitude gets real ugly usually about the Sunday after treatment. I don't realize it is happening, once in a while I hear the words I am saying and I know I am being short tempered. It is really nice having a friend that will put up with my male bovine defecate. I have always had a problem with my memory, remembering peoples names, etc., now I suffer from chemo brain, if I get distracted by the smallest thing then I can not remember what I was talking about, it just aggravates me to no end. God bless and may the faith be with you!

EASTER IS COMING!

"Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, tell them that the Lord needs them, and will send them right away." This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: "Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.' MATTHEW 21:2-5

Good morning! I am hooked up for chemo, the nurse just brought in my first two medicines. I will be scheduled for a CAT scan next week. I am excited, it is the time I get to hear the results of the chemo. I got invited to the rodeo tonight by a friend of Jan's, there will be four of us going, we are watching Toby Keith. I have been having stomach cramps lately, I think they are in the colon area. The cramps are due to the cancer dying (I pray). It says in the bible, that God knows what you need before you ask, so I try to concentrate on praying for others. The daily devotional, Jan bought me for CHRISTmas has been discussing how God wants me to take my problems to him and give them to him. I will attempt to do this, assuming the show of faith is what he requires of me. I love you all, God bless!

GREAT WEEKEND!

"But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.' 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not seperate." MARK 10:6-9

I am having a good day, and I have blood work and meet with doctor this afternoon. Please pray that my blood is good for next treatment. I get another cat scan after the next treatment. I really enjoyed going to the wedding, I am sorry I didn't get a better picture, they had 2 different photographers, and it was hard to get a good angle. The rodeo was good and the concert (Trace Atkins) was excellent. Jan's granddaughter has never meet a stranger, she spent most the day waving at little boys and girls. Sunday school, and church was excellent as always, I always feel so good when ever I hear the word. I shot 95 on 18 holes Sunday afternoon, not my best, but I really enjoy being outside and enjoying all God has given us. This is chemo week, so I won't be able to catch any jobs unless they are close. God bless everyone, and stop and smell a flower, life is too short.

FRIENDS!

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. PROVERBS 17:17

I am doing well today, I have my next chemo on Tuesday, blood cell count willing. I have a full weekend. Friday night I have a wedding to attend, then Saturday We are going to the Houston Rodeo. Sunday I have church and wheather permitting a round of golf. Monday I will return to work for a rest :-). I have gotten on face book, alot of the members of my church are on there. I received a message someone wanted to be my friend. It was a young lady that used to live across the road, they had moved away 28 years ago. The internet is an amazing way to reconnect with lost friends. God bless ya'll!

Thursday, March 5, 2009

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be guick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. JAMES 1:19-21

I am doing excellent today. I have not had any nausea today. The picture above are wild flowers growing near the shop. I love this time of year when you can see beautiful colors along side the road while driving. Unfortunately I don't get to drive as much as I used to. I hope everyone is doing well today, and everyone is in good health. God blessed the world with his only son, and he has blessed me everyday!

THE DESERT!

After fasting fourty days and fourty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' MATTHEW 4:3-4

Fill yourself in the word, and snack on the bread. You will be skinny and live forever. I am feeling pretty good today, minor nausea, medicine works. I did not think I would have time to update my blog today. I have a log to process and I won't be able to process it until my internet is fixed, about 8:30 this morning. Just another example of God being in control. God bless and have a great day!

PASSING FRIEND

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

I was informed that the lovely lady I have mentioned before that had cancer, has passed on to a better life. She is the sister-in-law of my mothers good friend. Join me in praying for their family, and for there safe trip from south Texas to back home. I know a loved ones death is never easy, but God will give you the strength to continue, rejoice in all life and welcome death as a beginning not an end. God will provide. I am doing well my job in Cuero, TX went real well, I got back to Houston around 8 p.m.. Today I am feeling a little nausea, but I am going to work through it if at all possible. Well let me get to work I have tools to clean. God bless and keep you!

EARLY POST

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may recieve the promised eternal inheritance -- now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. NEBREWS 9:14-15

I am updating blog on Sunday, I will be on a job Monday morning in Cuero, TX. I am feeling well today, only mild nausea as usual. Sunday school and church was excellent today, I was blessed to have enough time to attend prior to going on job. I need to appologize to Jan, I have been telling her that the ten commandments were the covenant with the Jewish people and did not apply to the Gentiles. I have learned that Jesus sacrifice on the cross was to save all people, Jews and Gentiles, from the damnation created by trying to live strictly by the law. Gods grace is guaranteed through Jesus Christ if you choose to accept him as your Lord and savior. I make a public (blog) appology, as the message is important enough to pass on to everyone. My love to all and God bless!
