HUMP DAY!

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. COLOSSIANS 3:15-17

I am doing pretty well today, a little nausea, but I worked through it without the meds. I should finish all my tool cleaning today, and I am sending Mike to Laredo, TX for a job tomorrow. I am getting excited to see my sister next month, I told Jan we were going to cross the border to Mexico, she said I was crazy, might catch swine flu. I have never kissed a pig so I don't think I have anything to worry about :-). God bless you and this day!

GREAT DAY, THANKS GOD!

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardner. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the world I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." JOHN 15:1-4

I have got a busy day ahead, I have tools to clean, and the new president of our company is coming for a visit. I feel strong today, no nausea, thank the Lord. There are several jobs looking up, I hope I get everything cleaned before the first one calls in. Sorry, I don't have more this morning to talk about. God bless you and keep praying!

BEAUTIFUL MONDAY!

Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Isrealites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 2nd CORINTHIANS 2:7-10

I had a pretty good weekend, Thursday night I went to Tyler, TX for a job Friday morning. After that job I drove to Conway, AR for a job Saturday morning. While I was there I had time to visit friends I have known for about 15 years. It is always nice to reconnect with people you had not seen in a while. I drove back to Houston Sunday, I got into town about 4:00. My side effects have been real mild, I have been able to dring cold soda's as long as I just take small sips. My cramps have been mild, and nausea has not been a major issue. I have a few days of tool cleaning to do, and I praise God for giving me the strength to work, and be productive. God bless everyone!

GREAT GOLF DAY!

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. JOB 23:10-12

I had another bad night wrestling with my chemo bag. I get it off today around 10 o'clock. Other then the bag I am feeling pretty good, possibly a little nausea, slight headache. Thursday is golf day, I have been looking forward to it for two days. God bless everyone, and lets say a prayer for someone we know who needs Gods strength!

THANK YOU!

The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place. 2 CHRONICLES 30:27

I am feeling great today, I have not had to take nausea medicine today. Other then wrestling with my pump bag while trying to sleep, everything is fantastic. I would like to thank everyone who said a little prayer, so I could continue my chemo, it is greatly appreciated it. Prayer is amazing in its power. That cell phone call has been available to us forever, and the battery never runs low. The weather is beautiful and should be for the rest of the week, I am looking forward to golf tomorrow. I was up late last night processing a log for a customer, so I may need to take off early and relax at the golf course today HAHAHA. Thanks again, and God bless you and all your families!

CHEMO TUESDAY!

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important then food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" MATTHEW 6:25-27

I just got hooked up to the chemo pump and they are starting my infusion treatment. I was really feeling indifferent about chemo, not getting my treatment was depressing me a little. It takes a little effort to get ready for the treatment and when I don't get it, I feal let down. It is just another trial that the Lord has for me. I have 2 engineers out on jobs today, the one in Laurel, MS may not happen for a day or two, and the one in Houston, TX is being ran right now. I hope everything goes well and I can golf Thiursday afternoon. I went with my friend Dennis to the driving range yesterday, after working on a few things I had to return to work. He called me and said he was hitting the ball real well, I think I gave him to much to work on at one time, but he was hitting the ball pretty well, next time I will help him with his short game. DRIVE FOR SHOW, CHIP AND PUT FOR DOUGH!!!! Well I had better check my e-mails and try to get some work done. God bless you and your families!

MONDAY! MONDAY!

The word of the Lord came to me, saying,
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
"Ah, Sovereign Lord," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a chilod."
But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord. JEREMIAH 1:4-8

I am doing well today, I had to go to College Station, TX for a Conoco Phillips safety class this morning. It was boring, but we have to go to the class to be able to work on their locations. I have chemo tomorrow, hopefully, my blood work will be OK. I am going on a job this evening or in the morning, if it does not interfear with chemo. A friend of mine from my Sunday school class, says she has the perfect women for me, I invited her to be a friend on facebook. I have turned over my relationship hunting over to the Lord, let's stand back and watch the miracle unfold. I am going to take a friend to the driving range to help him with his golf game, he has not played in a long time. God bless and keep my chemo in your prayers!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!

"As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into a fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. MATTHEW 13:40-43
I am doing well today, maybe a little tired, its hard to tell sometimes. The Lord kept the rain away, so I was allowed to play golf. I shot well and putted great. My team shot 5 under a respectable score, two other teams shot better, one 8 under and the other 7 under. I still had a great time, and actually contributed to the team, it felt great. Today is Friday and I have planned nothing for the weekend except church, it is suppose to rain. God bless and have a purpose driven weekend!

EXPECT BAD WEATHER!

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. DEUTERONOMY 10:17

I am having a good day, I went to Bossier City, LA for a job Tuesday evening. I got back to Houston yesterday evening. Jan's daughter found out this morning she is having a boy, HOORAY, they will have a boy and a girl, the perfect balance. I am being told to expect bad weather, and today is the golf tournament, wouldn't you know it. It as been perfect weather the last 3 days. God bless!

ANOTHER MISSED CHEMO!

So from now on we reguard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once reguarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciled the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's wins against them. And he was committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2nd CORINTHIANS 5:16-21

I am doing well today, right now I am waiting on blood work to see if I can have my next chemo treatment. I am feeling strong and am ready to continue my treatments. Yesterday I cleaned tools, and then went home and cooked dinner, sausage and french toast, my brother-in-laws receipe. No jobs are looking up right now, but I am sure this will change shortly. Everyone here at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center really treats me well, except I just got the news my platelet count is real low, and I will have to wait another week. I guess God needs me strong this week for his purpose. I hope everyone is having a great, and God blessed day!

HAPPY EASTER!

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly to tell the disciples; 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

Friends, it is amasing to serve a living God. As we celebrate Easter, least we forget the true reason we are celebrating. Hug your spouse, your children, grand children, and friends, as we never know when God will call us to be with him. Tell everyone that you love them, then say a little prayer to God for allowing his child to die for our sins, so we can spend eternity praising him.
I am doing very well and will have a busy Monday, cleaning tools from job. I am very pleased that God gives me the strength to continue my life as much as normal as possible, considering my treatments. I praise God for everyday, and pray that your days are good and plentiful.
God bless!

GOOD FRIDAY!

At the sixth hour darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" -- which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" MARK 15:33

God can not be present when and where there is sin, for that second in time when Jesus uttered those words, he was taking on all of our sins, and God could not be there as he had been all of Jesus's life. The pain he must have endured having the holy spirit temporarily moved out of the way to allow a man who had never sinned, take my sins and then die, so I can live forever. God loves me when I am unlovable, for this I owe him my eternal gratetude. I am doing very well today, I am in Conway, AR the job I was on is done, but I am going to stay the day and get some rest before I leave for Houston. Last night a severe storm and tornadoes went through the area, All I got was hard winds, rain, and pea size hail. On the way back from the job I came across a hill and there was a tree across the road, it was a good deal I was not familiar with the road or I might be talking to God a lot sooner then I had planned. I hope everyone is having a great day and is remembering what Jesus did for us all. You all have a great Easter weekend, and God bless!

THE ROCK!

The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior! 2nd SAMUEL 22:47

Good morning! Today I have a little nausea, but I am going to work through it if possible. I still get stomach cramps once in a while, but the pain only lasts for 10 seconds, so it is hardly worth talking about. The picture above was taken in Wyoming when I was up there doing some work. Yesterday I went home and took a nap, the chemo after effects seem to be getting worst. I think I have three more chemo treatments before the doctor evaluates my progress. I know God is working a miracle in my life. Last night Jan said she was amazed that not one time has she seen me through a pitty party, because of the cancer. I told her that I had no reason to be upset, I reminded her the cancer is truely a gift from God. I am thankful for all the stumbling blocks God placed into my life, that led me to my accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior, my public profession of faith, and babtism. I do not fear the end of this life, I look forward to my eternal life. Put yourself in my place just long enough to see if you feel the same way. If you do then God has truely blessed your life, and I hope this blog continues to bless you. God bless and have a great day!

HOW ARE YOU DOING!

For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. 1st CORINTHIANS 1:25

I am feeling good today, had to take a nausea pill this morning. I had a great weekend playing golf, attending church and then relaxing Sunday afternoon. How are you doing! Do you feel like the whole world is against you, and the more you try to make it right the worst it gets? Do you feel like there's no end to the tunnel? Are you tired from all the stress? God is waiting to take your problems from you. All you have to do is take your problems to him, ask for his help, then let him solve your problems his way. Trust me it works, I have not been happier. I will never understand God's will, but I know it is more important then what I think I need. It is so easy to be distracted by Satan with everyday worries, when we should be thanking and praising God. I feel directed to place these thoughts into my blog and they may not apply to everyone, but someone needs to here it. I hope if you are the one, this message finds you at the right time and your heart is opened by god to recieve the message. God bless everyone!

THE HAND OF GOD!

He always wore those worn out flip-flops
Spent ours in his daddy's workshop
He loved being on the water
Fishing with his friends
He always listened to the old folks
When they'd tell stories and crack jokes
Didn't talk back to his mama
When she got on to him
Oh that's just the way he was raised
Had to finish all his chores
Before he could go outside and play
They alway's went to church
That's where he learned how to pray
And that's just the way he was raised
He grew his hair out when he got older
Grew it clear down to his shoulders
Started hanging with the outcasts
When he went off to town
Some called him a trouble maker
Even some said a lawbreaker
No matter how they talked about him
He never put nobody down
Cause that's just the way he was raised
When people would start to gossip
He'd just walk away
He alway's loved is neighbor
No mater what they'd say
Oh that's just the way he was raised
On a cross, on a hill
That longhaired boy was killed
All our sins washed away
When he walked out of that grave
Oh that's just the way he was raised
There's no way we can measure
The sacrifice he made
He knew he had to die
For our debt to be paid
Oh that's just the way he was raised
It took the hand of God to roll the stone away
And that's just the way he was raised

I am feeling good today, except for a little fatigue, but I am still at work. Yesterday evening I played in a scramble golf tournament, shot 2 under through 9 holes. Winning score was 4 under through 9 holes. The lyrics above are off the newest Josh Turner CD. Since being diagnosed with cancer, I have not had the stop and smell the flower's attitude, but I listen and watch for God's miracles. Josh Turner has a strong religious belief, that he brings to his music. I am not asking you to buy his CD, (wouldn't it be a statement if religiously based songs in an non-christian media [non-christian radio] sold a lot of copies.). Maybe we would have more family oriented music to listen to. Please pray for Josh Turner to keep making the music God directs him to make. I am planning on playing some customer golf tomorrow afternoon. Sunday is church, and maybe fishing or golf, will see how the weather is. If you are reading this you are blessed by God!

BLIND AS A BAT!

I appologize for no scripture this morning. I forgot my glasses at the house and can not even see the print in my bible. I will make up tomorrow for my forgetfulness today.

We are having a wellness test today at work. The nurses are taking blood and checking vital signs. The questions asked on the form were easy for me to fill out. Does cancer and or heart problems occur in your family? :-) I am feeling pretty good today a little nausea, but I am not taking the medicine, unless it gets a little worse. I was going to play golf today, but it came a hard rain for an hour or so. I trust everyone is having a great God given day. God bless!

FEELING GOOD!

Now we ask you, brothers, to repond those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest requard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. 1st THESSALONIANS 5:12-15

I am having a good day today, I haven't need the nausea medication, yet! The doctor changed my chemo treatment to help keep my blood count good, so I don't have to miss treatments. I will be busy answering phones at the shop today, since they laid off the clerk. I have my chemo bag on and won't be able to do anything unless I don't have to move around alot. I just got a call for a job in Tyler, TX I will send my other engineer. I get my chemo bag off tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. P.S. Mom send me Karens phone number I lost it when my phone got destroyed. God bless everyone and have a great day!
