QUICK UPDATE!

I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws.
Psalm 119:30

I am doing much better. I feel like I am ready to go back to work if the surgeon removes my drain tube tomorrow. I am eating well, but still have not gained any weight. I am at the same weight I was when I got out of the Air Force. My staples come out tomorow, I can't wait it will feel so good to be able to itch my scar. I hope everyone is having a fantastic week and God bless!

MONDAY UPDATE!

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
John 16:24

I am doing well today. I am just getting over the surgery, but my stomach feels fine. My appetite has returned so I should put my weight back on. I have 2 appointments Thursday one with the surgeon and the other with M.D. Anderson. I will update Friday morning and let everyone know how I am doing and what news I get from the doctors. I went to church yesterday and it took a lot out of me, but I felt better after resting. Today is Angelia's birthday, an she has to work late, but we will be able to spend the evening together. I pray everyone is healthy and in good spirits this week. God bless!

FEELING BETTER EVERYDAY!

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. DEUTERONOMY 31:6

Well let me get you caught up on the events of the last few days. I was released from the hospital Friday night. Angelia took care of me in New Caney, since we had a follow up appointment on Monday afternoon. I have been eating really well, it is hard to get excited about eating, after the problems eating caused me before getting my Colon cancer removed. I have been trying to walk when I can, its a hole lot easier to walk in the hospital, for some reason. The doctor was real happy with my incission he said the staples are not quite ready to come out yet. I still have a drain in my stomach cavity. Some days it drains alot, others not much at all, the doctor was happy he said the color of the drainage is more important then amont. I can read through the drain bottle, so I am happy. I would like to take a minute to give all the credit to GOD through him all things are possible. He directed the surgeons hands, and gave me the strength to recover quickly, and has given Angelia a caring heart, GOD has really had his hand in the middle of our lives. I have another follow up appointment next Thursday. The staples should come out, and we will find out about the drain. I am also going to set up an appointment with the doctors at M. D. Anderson, to discuss future treatments. When you think there is no way to get through a bad situation, look to GOD with him all things are possible. God bless and have a great week.

LIQUID THURSDAY!

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4 (NIV)

I am on a liquid only diet today, and I hope to be on a harder diet tomorrow. I am having severe stomach cramps about once every 30 minutes, the Surgeon assures me it is just gas cramps, and they will go away later when my stomach straightens out. I have been walking, doing my breathing treatments, and using my lung displacement machine. If everything works out well I should go home tomorrow. I don't have any idea when the doctor will release me back to wok. I know the doctors at M.D. Anderson want to restart chemo again, I will have to evaluate when and how close it will fall to Nov 21st before making a decission. I trust God has his hand on your life and you are having a blessed day!

BAD WEEK!

“And so we know and rely on the love

God has for us. God is love. Whoever

lives in love lives in God, and God in him.”

I have been having a rough week!, to put it, mildly. I went to my Doctors appointment, my stomach was extended and pretty painful. I had lost another 20 pounds. The Doctor said my liver tumor had remained the same size, but the Colon had started growing again. The part that had the doctor worried was my blood work numbers on my liver was bad. They sent me to the emergency room next door for a intestine X-ray, and a Ultra sound on my Liver. The Liver I believe looks fine, but between the CAT scan, and X-ray, the surgeon said the Colon was bocked and needed to be removed. I have not been able to eat or drink anything for the last 5 days. I hope that will change tomorrow. They placed a tube down my stomach through my nose to clean out my stomach, I do not suggest this ever. I got the catheder and nose hose removed. I still have a drain coming out of my side and they are giving me antibiotics and oxygen. I hope everyone is having a great day, and may God light your path!

BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY!

The king is enthralled by your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord. PSALM 45:11

I have been doing logs and not feeling well enough to write an update for the last few days. I have been having severe stomach pains, and alot of fluid movement in my intestines. It has kept me from sleeping and getting a good nights rest. I am still having discomfort and pains, but they are not quite as bad. I am hoping to be able to play golf this afternoon, if it does not rain, and my stomach doesn't get worse. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon, to get the results of the CAT scan and see if there is anyting we can do about the cramps. Angelia is coming in for the appointment and to spend the weekend, we are going to work on the invitations. May God bless and keep you!

SHORT WEEK!

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time -- God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen 1st TIMOTHY 6:11-16

How is everyone doing today? I have been suffering all weekend with stomach cramps, I have not been able to eat much and today I am real tired. I spent the weekend with Angelia, and we have set a date and time for the wedding. It will be the 21st of November at 1 O'clock (invitations to follow) we decided to invite family and just a few close friends. I have a CAT scan today and a doctors appointment Friday. I pray God blesses everyone, and will ease my pains!

LATE UPDATE!

I am sorry the blog site will not allow me to upload a picture.

I have been having problems with my stomach, I think it is probably nerves from vacation and changing my routine. I am feeling better today, I took exlax to get my system moving again, and my stomach has felt better. I have been on a soup diet for a few days, and today I was able to eat a slice of pizza for lunch. I got a little more adventurous for dinner, bread with homemade jelly, and a brownie. Does not sound to healthy, but I needed the sugar. I am still having cramps but not near what I had yesterday. I had a training class today, and I have an appointment with a customer in Dallas, TX tomorrow. I will attempt an update Thursday morning, I have so many good pictures from vacation to share. God has truely blessed me, grace through faith, God will bless you too!
