ENJOYING GOD AND ANGELIA!

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1st PETER 4:11

I have not updated for awhile, as many of you know, Angelia and I got married on the 21st of November. The ceremony was God centered and very beautiful. Angelia was never more lovely then she was that day, God truely blessed me with a fantastic wife, friend, confidant, and companion. I got to spend Thanksgiving with Angelia and her family, it was an enjoyable holiday. My new son and his girlfriend were there and we enjoyed visiting with them. I have an appointment for blood work and a visit with the doctor today, I feel pretty good, except for a sinus and upper chest conjestion, I will find out today what I can take for it. The wheather has been funny as usual this time of year, and the temperature changes are not helping my cold. If every thing goes well I will be having another chemo treatment tomorrow. I will update tomorrow. May your holiday season be blessed and your families be safe and in good health. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season. God bless and have a great day!

WEDDING WEEK!

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. EPHESIANS 5:18-33

I am doing pretty good this week, the only problem is a lower back ache, not chemo related. It may be related to the surgery and my weaker stomach muscles. Angelia and I are getting really EXCITED about the upcoming wedding. All the prep work was easy and very relaxing, now we are getting to the last minute things that need to be done (stressful). Friday afternoon we got our marriage license, Saturday they had a bridal shower for Angelia and I, we received some nice things we needed for the house and garage. I am trying to get a golf game scheduled for Friday afternoon, I hope this will keep my nerves relaxed. I pray everyone has a great week and God bless!

HEART HEALTHY FRIDAY!

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. MATTHEW 5:3-10

I am doing pretty well today. I had my chemo bag removed yesterday, and went to see the heart specialist. He said my heart was health, and there was no blockage, it also appears that the chemo has done no damage to the heart. Bless God for the good news. I now have a three week break before my next chemo treatment, this will allow me to have a good wedding, and honeymoon. My platlet count was low the last chemo I had, so hopefully it will be better, at the end of three weeks. I am taking off early today to drive to Nacogdoches to get a marriage license. Everything is going well with the wedding plans, just need to take care of a few minor details. God bless you and your families, and have a great weekend!

WEDNESDAY UPDATE!

Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. PSALM 32:6-7

Sorry it has taken so long to update. It has been a busy week so far. Monday I had a golf tournament to play in, and got a call that Angelia was in a wreck. I drove to Nacogdoches to make sure she was allright. A young girl ran a stop sign and hit the Jeep on the passenger side. She hit it just right to get the back tire up in the air, and the Jeep flipped onto its side then onto the roof. God was looking out for Angelia, and she made it through the wreck with a few bruises and a small cut on her elbow, where her elbow hit the pavement when the car rolled onto its side. Even in an accident God can give testimony. When Angelia got out of the hospital we went to the wrecker yard to get some stuff out of the car, and it was a mess, glass everywhere, bags in all the seats, glass everywhere, except the drivers seat. The only item in her seat was her bible, God just wanted us to know he was there protecting her. Angelia went to chemo with me Tuesday and I had an allergic reaction to the chemo medicines, my head started itching and my entire body got read, then I got real hot. They gave me Benedril and Steroids through my IV and I got better in about 20 minutes. The Benedril made me extremely sleepy and I had to take a nap. After the chemo treatment we went back to Nacogdoches, so Angelia could attend a party the ladies in her Sunday school was having for her. Angelia has a very busy week coming up with a wedding shower, pre-registration at the college, making sure the flowers are going to be ready. All I have to do is pick up my suit, and get the shirts for the best man and I. I will get the results from my stress test on my heart on Thursday when I get my chemo bag removed. I will update on Friday as to the outcome. God bless and have a great day!

LESS THEN 3 WEEKS LEFT!

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." MATTHEW 7:13-14

Less then 3 weeks until Angelia and I get married, we are both getting excited. It looks like there should be about 100 guests at the wedding, which will be perfect for the cake we have decided upon. I was on a job West of Dallas/Fort Worth yesterday, it did not take long to run the log, but there was a lot of driving. If everything works out well I am going to try to play a round of golf sometime this week, it has been over three months and I am ready to go play. May God bless you and your families!
