When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God whose words I praise.
Psalms 56:3-4

How is everyone doing today? I hope this finds you health and blessed, by God. The picture to the right is of a pair of squealer ducks, and their chicks (10 total). Angelia and I have been blessed to spend as much time together as possible, and are looking forward to more time. Angelia is in the process of looking for a job in the Houston area, working for a state college. We are waiting to hear from two colleges that are in the process of looking over resume's and applications, hopefully she will get an interview in the next two weeks. I am getting chemo today, and then I will have another treatment in two weeks, followed by a catscan, and then I will meet with the doctor to discuss taking a break for a while. I have been doing pretty well, considering the chemo makes me tired, but I still work and make jobs when ever possible. Last week I had everone on jobs, and because of the job locations I got to spend some extra time in Nacogdoches with Angelia. Two weeks ago, I took some time off and helped Angelia take care of her mother, while her sister took time off for a vacation. We are planing a trip to see our son Jimmy on the 14th, outside of Dallas, TX. I want to thank everyone for their continued prayers for me and my healing, prayer is a gift from God, and I enjoy my time I get to talk to my Savior. God bless our country, you, your families, and our troops!

GREAT 4TH OF JULY!

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
GENESIS 9:13-16

I am feeling really strong today, and am going through my 9th chemo treatment. My platlet count is a little low, but the doctor wants to continue, and if my counts drop next time then I wont be able to have chemo. Angelia and I have had a great time since moving to our new rv park, we have been doing a lot of fishing and enjoying all the outdoors that God allows. We bought a golf cart to drive around the park, and I got a stereo roof mount, front bumper, lights and was anxious to get them installed, but it would not stop raining. I told Angelia that God was not smiling on me, within a few hours it had stopped raining and we were fishing. Angelia looked up and spotted the rainbow (picture above), she said God is smiling on you. I have never seen a rainbow in the sky straight above my head, I had only seen them on the horizon. We got about 6 to 9 inches of rain Friday and Saturday. Our son Jimmy and his girlfriend came down for the weekend, and we are having a real nice time. We have been fishing, and Jimmy cooked hamburgers on the grill, he is cooking his famous ribs today for lunch/dinner. Angelia has started the search for a job in the Houston area so we can be together all the time. Please say a prayer for God to open the door for her to find the job that will brink God the most glory, and Angelia will be able to witness to his greatness. I love you all and God bless you and your family!

NEED PRAYER!

O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. PSALM 30:2

I was given chemo even though my platlet count was 93. I will have another chemo treatment on the 15th of June. If my platelet count continues to drop it will keep me from staying on schedule. If you would please pray for me, I know if enough people pray God will answer by raising my platelet count. Other then that I feel pretty strong, I am having a pain around my spleen area, and I think it is growing again, which causes my platelet count to drop. Angelia and I got to visit a church in Nacogdoches, we are tying to find a church that meets our spiritual needs while we are here. We are still looking at moving Angelia to houston when God says the time is right. I am planning on making a job in central Texas on Tuesday. I pray all is good with you and your family, God bless!

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1st JOHN 3:1

How is God treating everyone today? I hope he is blessing you and your family. I am getting chemo today, even though my platelet count is 93. I have been feeling pretty strong these last few weeks and have been able to go on jobs. I did two jobs over the Memorial day weekend, on Sunday I cooked Hamburgers, that Angelia had gotten for me, the guys on the job were really appreciative of the jesture. I just wanted everyone to at least have some enjoyment while working the holiday weekend. I have been really busy at work, and Angelia and I look forward to spending as much time together as possible. I pray this finds you health and in good spirit, thank the Lord for all he has bestowed upon us, God bless you and your families and friends.

CHEMO UPDATE!

"Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span." EXODUS 23:25-26

Here I am again going through another chemo treatment. This one should be my 6th treatment in this round of chemo. I am feeling real strong and I have some energy, it was nice taking an extra week between treatments, last week Angelia and I went on vacation. We were blessed to be able to visit with my parents in hill country, and our son Jimmy came and surprised his mother for mothers day. We then went to Lake Summerville State Park and spent 5 days fishing having fires and just relaxing. We caught some catfish and perch, enough for a fish fry Thurday night. Saturday Angelia had to be in Nacogdoches for graduation at the collage, SFA had there largest graduating class ever. We were blessed to be able to attend church in Katy, we look forward to sunday school and the sermon. I hope everyone is doing well, and God is blessing you and your families. I love you all and God bless!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD!

He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
MATTHEW 18:2-4

Emma Spencer is my first great niece, making me an excited great uncle. Isn't she beautiful [looks like me :-)]. I have been very busy lately, it seems like there's not enough time in the day. My company bought some new caliper tools from another company, so I need to learn how to run them, and process the information. I got results from my catscan yesterday, my tumors are staying the same size, which excited the doctor. I figure no change means I am not getting sicker. Angelia has been working for 2 and a half years on a project, for the college to start using a new software package. The college went live with the new software last week, and it appears except for a few minor problems, everything went well. Angelia and I are going on vacation the week of May 10th, we are going camping, we will meet up with Mom and Dad north of San Antonio for a couple days and then spend the rest of the week being together and fishing. I pray this update finds you happy and content, God bless and have a great week!

HAPPY EASTER!

HE DIED FOR YOU, WILL YOU LIVE FOR HIM!
I SERVE THE ONE TRUE LIVING GOD, HE DEFEATED THE GRAVE, THERE IS NOTHING THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE THROUGH HIM!
I am doing pretty well. The lower back x-ray came back negative for cancer or any other problems. I may try a chiropractor to get relief. It has been a hectic time for Angelia and I, it seems like our jobs are monopolizing most of our time. I will be getting another CATSCAN in late April, I have had 3 chemo treatments and my platelet count has been good to keep me on a treatment every two weeks schedule. We decided to purchase another vehicle, and found one in Houston on the internet. We picked up our 05 PT cruiser convertable Friday afternoon, and spent the day Saturday cruising the back roads to Beaumont, TX, to visit a friend that Angelia used to work for. We were honored to attend a service at her church Saturday night, where her preacher, did a demonstration of the original last supper/passover meal. It was very interesting, to learn what the Jewish people did to celebrate there release from bondage. It was a blessing from God for Angelia and I to spend the entire weekend with out having to do work. It was the first time since our honeyoon, we had been this free to enjoy each others company. May god bless you and keep you safe!

FAMILY UPDATE!

But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law. ROMANS 3:21-31
It has been a trying week, for Angelia's family. Mrs. Doris, Angelia's mother had broke her knee and dislocated her sholder, the operations went fine, but laying still in the hospial, she got pneumonia. The doctor decided to move her to a rehab center, so they could get Doris back on her feet, however her O2 saturation dropped to 75 and she was having a hard time breathing. She was moved back to the hospital yesterday, and admitted into ICU and given medication for the pneumonia. I would like for everyone to please say a prayer for Mrs. Doris and her family. Angelia's sister has been taking care of her mom and also looking after her mother-in-law. God has called her Mother-in-law home to be with Jesus, please add her family in your prayers to give the family comfort, during this time. I am doing well, except for the backache that has been bothering me, I am going to continue taking Advil to help ease the discomfort, until I get a chance to talk to my doctor in two weeks. It is getting close to spring, flowers are starting to bloom, and my camera batteries are charged and ready to go. I hope everyone is having a great week, God bless you and yours!

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. JOB 23:10

I am doing better, I have been at work for a week now, and I am feeling a little stronger each day. The only physical problem I have is an ache in my lower back I have had since Sept last year, it is getting troublesome. I did a job in south Texas Saturday and have been processing logs almost every day. My mother-in-law fell last Thursday night and dislocated her sholder and broke a knee cap. She came out of the knee surgery fine, and is still in the hospital. She may need to be in a recovery/rehab where she will have constent attention, due to the fact she will not be able to do for herself. God will always test us, but he will not give us more then we can handle. Praise be to God and all who believe in the Son! God bless you and yours!

CHEMO TUESDAY!

We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. 2 CORINTHIANS 6:3-10
It has been a tough last three weeks. The procedure to eliminate part of my Spleen has been a hugh success, my platlet count is around 250. The pain associated with procedure has kept me on pretty serious pain killers, which made me feel a little better, but there was no way to drive under the influence of a narcotic. I have been off the pain meds since Saturday morning and I am experiencing a small amount of pain, but I am ready to go back to work. Angelia has been a blessing, waiting on me hand and foot during my recovery, she has had to drive me to all my appointments and she hates to drive in Houston, but she has not complained once. The whole time she has been taking care of me she also has been doing her job and putting in long 12 hour days, she is a great example of hard work and love of the Lord! We are both looking forward to spring, we are going to be taking trips this year to get away from work, and relax as much as we can. I hope and pray that this update finds everyone enjoying what God has provided for us, and you take the time to enjoy the simple tings in life. God bless and have a great week!

GOOD UPDATE!

He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit, and I will live to enjoy the light.' "God does all these things to a man twice, even three times to turn back his soul from the pit, that the light of life may shine on him. JOB 33:28-30

Angelia and I celebrated our three month anniversary on Sunday. It has been an amazing adventure with her and God! Above is a picture from our honeymoon, we are looking forward to going camping again this spring. My procedure to shrink my Spleen has been a great sucess, however the pain medicine causes me to dehydrate and be constipated, then the medicine for the constipation makes my dehydration worse. I am getting more fluids today, and hope to be able to get chemo next week. I was off my pain medicine since Sunday afternoon, I had gotten sick right after taking my pain medicine, so I decided to try to just deal with the pain. I would like to return to work as soon as possible. When I visited with Dr. Hassan yesterday she told me to go back on my meds so they can get control of the pain, and then they will rehydrate me, and then get my bowel movements back to regular. I think I am fighting a two headed snake, the side effects from the meds, cause trouble, but I can not do without the meds. I pray everyone is doing well, and God has blessed you today! Jesus said he is the way, the truth, and the life, follow him and you will never be lost! I love you all and God bless!

THINGS CHANGE FAST!

If I say, 'I will forget my complaint, I will change my expression, and smile, JOB 9:27

I had my procedure last week, and had a follow up appointment with the doctor at the main campus, my platlet counts went from Fifty to over Two hundred. We are all pleased with this and give God the praise. I have been experiencing allot of pain and had some bowle movement problems, the laxitive fixed that, the doctor placed me on a different pain medication, and I am going this afternoon for some IV fluids. I will probably have another CAT scan on Sunday, with follow up appointments with Dr. Hussan about restarting my chemo. Other then the pain I am feeling pretty good. Angelia has been with me for the past 2 weeks taking care of me, she truely is a blessing. I hope ths update finds you well, and may God bless you and your family!

PRE-SURGERY UPDATE!

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. PROVERBS 17:22

I appologize for not updating sooner. I was waiting to get information on when I would be having another procedure. On Tuesday at 1:00 pm I will be having a procedure to shrink my spleen. They are going to go thru the Artery in my leg and find the Arteries feeding the Spleen, then they will inject some clotting material in to limit the blood flow to the Spleen. This will hopefully allow my platelet count to go up and I can continue my chemo theropy. We went to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour last weekend, and had a great time, the picture above is Bill Engval. Angelia is spending the week with me while I am in the hospital, they are going to admit me for observation for 1 to 5 days, depending on the amount of pain. Have a great week and God bless everyone!

APPOINTMENT UPDATE!

Sow with a view to righteousness, Reap in accordance with kindness; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord until he comes to rain righteousness on you. HOSEA 10:12

Angelia and I went to see the doctor at M. D. Anderson this morning. We have decided to have an operation to reduce the size of my spleen. They will go up the artery in my leg and into the spleen, where they will inject a clotting agent that will kill part of the spleen and reduce its size by half. The weather has turned off cold, so no fishing. I am cooking pork chops, green beans, and potatoes for dinner. The picture is one of my CAT scan pictures, it is of my heart and lungs. Angelia just told me that my pictures are to big and making my bible verses to read, I am sorry and will correct this in the future. I may have a job on Sunday outside of Houston. I hope the job pospones so Angelia and I can attend church, but if it is Gods will I hope I get the opportunity to witness to someone. I hope you all have a great weekend, and God bless everyone, and the USA!!

a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. ECCLESIASTES 3:4

I am having a pretty good week, Iwas in Lafayette, LA for a job on Monday and stayed for Tuesday to do some training. The picture is of the managers truck in Houston. Some of the guys wrapped it in suran wrap. Angelia is coming into town tonight, we have a busy weekend planned. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to see about a surgery to kill my enlarged spleen. We have tickets to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour for Saturday night and church on Sunday. There is a slight chance I may have to make a job on Sunday (where God leads me I will follow). I will update to let everyone know what happened at the doctors as soon as possible. I am hoping the weather does not get to bad this weekend and we can do some fishing. I pray God looks out for everyone and blesses them with good health. God bless and have a great weekend!

THURSDAY UPDATE!

Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits -- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. PSALM 103: 1-6

I was not allowed to have chemo again, because of my platlet count was at 65, and it needs to be at least 100. My doctor called and said she had been talking to a surgeon about my spleen being enlarged, I was already aware of this problem. The doctors believe my spleen is absorbing the platelets. I have an appointment next Friday to discuss the options with the surgeon, the do not think it would be wise to go in and remove the spleen as this would be my second invasive surgery in less then 6 months. They are going to go in and cut off the blood flow to the spleen, so it will die. I hope it will allow my platelet count to increase and I can stay on a constant chemo therapy routine. Other then that I am doing fine. My mother (Sue) had a surgery on her foot to relieve pain caused by bunions. Please pray for her speedy recovery. God bless everyone, and have a great weekend!

BLESSINGS ABOUND!

I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. The trees of the field will yield their fruit and the ground will yield its crops; the people will be secure in their land. They will know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them. EZEKIEL 34:26-27

I appologize for having not updated my blog in awhile, I have been blessed by God, and got to spend the last 11 days with my wife. It just worked out that the jobs that I needed to do were all within 2 hours of Nacogdoches, TX. I am doing really well, I have been having problems with my platelet count, that has delayed some of my chemo therapy. I have done 3 jobs in the past week, and it has felt good to be working in the field. I love each and everyone of you, and will attempt to update my blog more often. Have a blessed day and may God look over you and your families!

GLOBAL WARMING IN HOUSTON!

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning -- the sixth day.

I just got my chemo pump removed, and I am feeling pretty good. I had a little nausea this morning, but I did not take anything for it. I am trying to determine if it is the nausea medicine or the stopping the chemo pump that makes me so tired on Thursday afternoons. It is suppose to get to a ten year low in the Houston area, around 20 degrees for the next few days. I pray that my winterizing efforts on the trailer are enough to not have any broken or frozen pipes. I am thinking of installing insulation under the trailer in the spots were there are pipes and holding tanks. It is to late for this cold spell, but it will be better, as I am sure the winters are getting colder every year. I pray this finds you blessed with health and warmth, God bless you and yours!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, "Praise be to you, O Lord, God of our father Isreal, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name." 1st CHRONICLES 29:10-13

Happy 2010 to everyone, I hope the new year brings you an opertunity to thank God for all he has given you. This last year has been very good to me. I met and married the most amazing women, Angelia has really been a blessing in my life. I had my colon tumor removed and I am now feeling healthy again. I am back on chemo, but my platelet count is low already and I have only had 4 treatments. I got to visit my sister, Karen when I took Angelia to Illinois to meet my parents. I pray God continues to bless me in the new year, and I don't forget that all things are possible with him, and all things are from him! May you be blessed and healthy in the new year!
