BEAUTIFUL FRIDAY!

The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will recieve the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. JAMES 1:9-12

I am doing well today, I was able to play golf yesterday, unfortunately it was not my best day ever. My team shot 5 under and we lost by two strokes. I had to get a new phone, I took my other phone swimming with me and it drowned, there will be a memorial service later this afternoon :-). The new phone has a keyboard so I will be able to text easier and faster. God bless you, and keep you safe!

GOLF DAY!

Look back and thank God

Look forward and trust God

look around and serve God

Look within and find God!

God closes doors no man can open and opens doors no man can close.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope ofthe glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
You see at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ROMANS 5:1-8

The above verse was sent to me by a good friend, and it was inspirational when I needed inspiration. God always has a way of being there, just look! It is early in the day, so I don't want to seem to cofident, but the stomach pains have all but gone away. I slept really well last night, and feel great this morning. With the grace of God I will continue to feel good. I have my golf tournament this afternoon, and am looking forward to it. God bless this day and rejoice in it!

GOOD MORNING!

If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliver.

1st TIMOTHY 5:8

Good morning, I hope everyone is well. The attached picture is of Karen and Steve at the US/Mexico border we had a great trip to Neuevo Progresso while I was on vacation. I am still having stomach cramps, but I am praying the will get better. Look around and see the abundence God has given us all, and have a blessed day!

BACK FROM VACATION!

Then I would still have this consolation -- my joy in unrelenting pain -- that I had not denied the words of the Holy one. JOB 6:10

I had a great time on vacation visiting with family and friends. Monday morning I played golf with some guys from work. In the afternoon I started getting stomach cramps, they were terrible, I went to bed around 6:00 p.m. and slept till 6:30 a.m., when the cramps would let me sleep. I am still having the cramps this morning, but not as strong. Jan had family over for a memorial day cookout, we went swimming till about 4:30, I was not very talkative with my cramps. Jan wanted to go to a memorial day ceremony, but there was not one in the county she lives in, SOMEONE will be hearing about this. God bless and have a great day!

GLORIOUS FRIDAY!

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt looses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." MATTHEW 5:13-16

Sorry, for the late update! This morning I helped my dad get the motorhome wired up to run satelite/roof mounted antenna/vcr and dvd player. We had it working great and then I unhooked everything to reroute the cables, and then the satelite would not work. Finally found a bad connection on one of the cables. Mom had no problems running all the different configurations to get the tv to work, in fact after some trial and error, she was able to record Dr. Phil, she is happy. We went to the pool and bobbed around for a couple hours. I am feeling really strong except for the bad sunburn on top of my feet, but even that is getting better. God has blessed me with a great family, and friends, for this I am truely grateful. May you be as blessed as I am. God watch out for you and your family over this holiday weekend!

BEAUTIFUL DAY!

On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to recieve. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. JOHN 7:37-39

I am having a great week, God has truely blessed me. I spent yesterday with Karen and Steve at a waterpark, we had a great time. There was about 15 bus loads of kids there, they were so well behaved, it was the first time I ever went to a water park. We meet up with mom and dad, at "Dirty Al's" and had a nice meal. Then we watched the finale of "American Idol" way to go Kris. God bless and have a great day!

Yesterday we played golf in the morning, went to Mexico in the afternoon, and visited in the evening. I had a log to process last night, I finished about 4:30 this morning. God bless and keep you safe!

MEXICO BOUND!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade -- kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 1st PETER 1:1-5

I am doing excellent today! My dad, Steve, and I are going golfing this morning, followed by a trip to Mexico. My mom and sister (Karen) are going shopping. Karen and Steve bought a Chrysler Sebring convertible, and my sister loves to drive around with the top down. I have gotten some good pictures to pass on to everyone over the next couple of weeks. I pray God has blessed you as he has blessed me!

LOVELY MONDAY!

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. ROMANS 12:9-13

I am having a great day visiting with Steve and Karen pictured above. We went to the pull ferry across the Rio Grande, but it was closed due to high waters. We went to a state park and rode a tram through the park, it had been shut down to vehicle traffic. We saw some wild pigs, birds, butter flies and flowers, I got pictures of all. We then went to a clothing store called a "Ropa" where the clothes are just piled on the floor and people are sorting through them to find what they want. I am updating my blog before going to the swimming pool, to bob around like a cork. I had enough strength today to do everything that we did, bless God for allowing me a break from chemo to be able to do everything, without being too tired. God is amazing in his timing, and how he answers prayers. God bless everyone and have a great week!

EARLY UP-DATE!

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. JOHN 15:13

Thank Jesus for laying down his life for us.
Thank the troops for Laying down there lives for us.
Thank the Police, Firemen, and other public servents for putting their lifes on the line for us.

I am doing real well today! I had my doctors appointment, and the tumors are not getting any smaller, yet they are not growing either. The doctor says this is a real good time to take a break from chemo, I have an appointment in a month to check my blood work and get my port flushed. Then another CAT scan a month later. God is allowing me to get my strength back and be able to do some things without being tied to a chemo schedule. I am looking forward to spending time with family and friends. The picture above is of some good friends of my mom and dads, I have been blessed to spend time with them when I visit. Friends are forever, and a true treasure from God! Have a blessed day and I will update next week with some new pictures.

HAPPY THURSDAY!

"All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." ISAIAH 40:6b-8

I am doing much better today. The cramps have subsided, and I am feeling stronger. I am looking forward to my doctors appointment tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. I had to rescedule when I thought I had a job to go on, but the job cancelled due to not having the size tool the customer required. If everything is slow tomorrow, I am going to take off early and head to the valley to visit my family. I will update my blog Saturday, so I can give my parents the news from my CAT scan in person. I hope to get a bunch of new pictures for my blog site, I am running out and am trying not to duplicate. I caught a catfish about three pounds yesterday on a small jig. I wanted to get a picture of it, but it straightened out the hook when I tried to get him on the bank. When he fell off the hook he became 5 pounds and know that I think of it today it was probably closer to 8 pounds :-). God must be busy forgiving fishermen for their lies :-). God bless all as he has blessed me!

CAT SCAN TODAY!

He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. PROVERBS 14:31

I had my CAT scan today, I had to reschedule my doctors appointment until Friday morning. I have a job to go on in Laredo, TX in the morning. Today I am having some pretty good stomach cramps, they are more intense then usual. I have never described my CAT scan experience, here it goes! Once I check in I go to radiology, where I have to dring 2 glasses of Barium, the glasses are seperated by 30 minutes. When they are ready for me, I go into a room and change into a gown. I then get an IV so they can inject Iodine for the test. I also get a Barium enema to top me off as the technician likes to say, it is humiliating, but I survive. When this is done a set of pictures are taken, then they inject the Iodine and anoter set of pictures are taken. Then they wait two minutes and take another set of pictures. The machine tells you when to breath and hold your breath, for about 6 seconds during the picture taking process. Over all the process is painless, except for the humility part :-). I hope everyone is having a God blessed day!

ANGELS!

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgement; 2nd PETER 2:4
if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgement, while continuing their punishment. 2nd PETER 2:9

I am feeling blessed today! I feel realy good, health wise. I have my CAT scan tomorrow in the morning, I hate having to drink the barium, but its a small cross to bear. I won't have an update tomorrow until late, and I am going to wait to update Thursday until I visit with the doctor. God bless!

BEAUTIFUL MONDAY!

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God; by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God; to obey his commands. And is commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the son of God. 1st JOHN 5:1-5

I am having a good day, and I had a great weekend! I looked at new trucks on Saturday, and spent Mothers day with Jan and her family, we cooked out steaks and had a nice visit with her granddaughter, she is getting bigger by the day. I need to find out if te bank will lend me money for a trailer and a truck, before buying a truck, without the trailer, no use for a truck. I have my CAT scan scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, and a follow up appointment with my doctor on Thursday afternoon. One week until I see my Sister, brother-in-law and Mom and Dad. Steve may bring his clubs so we can play golf. God bless and have a great week!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Crist from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade -- kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, through now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith -- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire -- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

I am doing well today, slight nausea, but I don't feel quite as tired. I played golf yesterday evening, I shot OK but, we still lost, no big deal I play for the fun not the profit. I don't have much planned for this weekend, I am on call. Church on Sunday if no job calls in. God bless and have a great weekend!

GOLF DAY!

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God -- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. 2nd TIMOTHY 3:1-5

I am feeling pretty good today, a little tired, but overall I feel better. I am not sure why God directed me to this scripture, but I know it points to the second coming of my Lord. I don't think it is far away, and embrace the thought of God's reign on earth. I have planned to play golf with Dennis this afternoon, and play in the tournament in the evening. Some guys from work and I were fishing in the pond behind the shop yesterday afternoon. I was fishing for catfish, had several bites, but only got a little one to the bank. I know my hooks were to big, but I was attempting to catch the BIG one. The other guys were fishing with spinners and jigs, they caught several nice crappie and bass. I should have taken pictures, but again I don't think about it until the fish are thrown back in. Our business has slowed a little but I am confident that the slow down will only last till mid year. I heard a someone saying that the economy will rebound by the end of the year, and then the government will have to try to stop inflation brought on by all the money they just pumped into the ecomomy. God bless!

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!

Then you will call upon me and come to pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, "declares the Lord," JEREMIAH 29:12-14a

I am doing well today, I have a little nausea, and seem to have less strength then I did when I was taking the chemo. It may be my body readjusting, I hope so. It is starting to get hot here, I guess spring is over. I have one job looking up at the end of the week, may have to travel to Houma, LA. I pray God keep everyone well and safe, God bless!

TAKING A BREAK!

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. PSALM 23:1-6

Good morning everyone! My blood work yesterday was not good, white cell count to low. My doctor has decided to take a break from chemo for awhile. I will have another CAT scan next week, then another in a month or so. I was expecting a break after the two more treatments anyway. She believes it will be a good time, now I should have regained some of my strength before my sister visits. Angelia called yesterday and told me they had a heeling service at their church and she was able to pray for me and another lady she knows going through simular problems. Angelia said the presence of God in her church Sunday was amazing. I feel so blessed to have so many people praying for me, I am going to keep up my blog even though I am not taking treatments, I really feel that this is God's calling for me right know. Please keep checking on the blog, I never know what scripture I am going to put on the blog, until it is revealed to me by God. Many times I let the pictures God places in front of me to guide the scripture, other times I just open my bible and the passage is shown to me. I know I have strengthened many lives through my blog, and am blessed to continue God's work. I love everyone who has read this blog, and I hope you feel lead by the Lord to pass the blog site on to as many people as you can, even if they do not know anyone in my situation, they may later on down the road. God bless and have a great week!

CHEMO WEEK BEGINS!

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1st CORINTHIANS 6:9-11

I am feeling pretty good today, I have a little nausea, and cramps. I cracked another rib last week so I didn't play golf this weekend. Church was excellent as usual. I took a long nap (4 hours) yesterday. I have blood work and a visit with my doctor this afternoon, to see if I will be having chemo this week. 2 more weeks and my sister will be here for a visit, I am getting excited. My niece is graduating high school on the 12th I hope I can make the drive to Louisiana to visit everyone even for a few hours. God has blessed us all through Jesus Christ the son don't turn your back on this amazing gift, rejoice in his saving grace!

FRIDAY-FRIDAY-FRIDAY:-)!

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. ISAIAH 41:30-31

I had a rough night last night, not due to the chemo though. I went on a job, and Mike did one in Edinburg. I had two logs to process and did not get much sleep, even though I needed it. I got the logs done about noon today. I am feeling pretty good, my strength is good, I have had some pretty good cramps lately. Last night I had some mild nausea, horay for the pills. I also had a headache, probably from stress. I am going to knock off early today and lay on the couch. I will clean tools Saturday, and church on Sunday if possible and it doesn't rain I think golf is in order this weekend. Thanks to everyone who is praying for me, I have meet a very good friend, through a couple in my Sunday school class (bible study). Her name is Angelia (the i is silent), she lives in Nacogdoches, TX, she is putting me on there prayer list. If numbers of prayers was directly related to my complete recovery, I would have been cancer free months ago. God bless the world and everyone in it!
